As it turned out, Microsoft sells the most powerful tablets Surface Pro with some other figures in terms of memory. Of course, the operating system and installed applications will take place in the common memory of portable computers, but these data are not advertised and learn frustrated buyers. After buying the users know that the 128 GB version available to them only 83 GB, and 64 GB – 23 GB.  The device will be available for purchase in the U.S. and Canada at retai lMicrosoft, the online store MicrosoftStore.com and retailer Best Buy.

Today, the Redmond company noted an interesting fact. It turns out that 45 GB of built-in tablet Surface Pro 128 GB of memory is reserved for the operating system Windows 8 Pro and pre-installed software. Remaining 83 GB is more than enough for the user, but not all devices running Windows 8 Pro can boast such a significant amount of available space on the drive.

For example, the version of Surface Pro with 64 GB, by analogy, would have only 19 GB of free space. Microsoft explained the mysterious disappearance of gigabytes. 64GB cut to 59 GB. About 5 GB borrow backup OS, and another 8 GB to the operating system and associated applications.

What if the remaining 19 GB of anything missing? In Redmond advised to use the “cloud” storage SkyDrive, as well as memory cards and external hard drives. Buyers Surface Pro free 7 GB in the “cloud” storage, but it is not everywhere that decision has practical application.Also, the tablet is equipped with connectors USB 3.0, but, again, not everyone will agree to carry a hard drive, or “stick”.

A similar problem has been in the last year on sales of Surface RT, when the 32 GB version was sold with a total of 16 GB of memory and a 64 GB version with 46 GB. The situation with the news is not the nicest. You can of course use the methods of storage offered by the company, but this means additional costs and so not a cheap product.
