Amazon will release virtual coins that will allow customers to buy content on the Kindle Fire tablet. Content owners and apps should have to ensure that their software is compatible with the announced Amazon coins virtual currency.
According to the online store the virtual currency is called Amazon Coins, which will be starting May in the U.S. Therefore asks the company in April of application developers to new versions of their apps ready to have that support the currency is built. Users get when buying content the ability to accept credit cards or with coins to pay, a coin worth one cent.
At launch, the virtual currency is only available for U.S. customers. Also, Amazon Coins only on the Kindle Fire tablet to use them to purchase content. Therefore it is likely that the online store launching its own currency still looks like a test. The company has not yet announced how users can buy on Amazon Coins.
