Apple has yet made another corporate purchase. Bought by American manufacturer company develops Matcha.tv service, with which you can watch in real time on smartphones and tablets video or TV. According to VentureBeat, the transaction value of $1 – $1.5 million
The main product is the same name Matcha.tv app for iOS, which offers an impressive list of services available in the TV providers in the U.S., particularly in Netflix, iTunes, Hulu and Amazon Prime. The program also allows you to control read entries from the queue, receive recommendations, and communicate with other users of video content.
By itself Matcha.tv service was closed in May of this year, without any explanation, and shortly before the head of the firm Pikarts Guy said that the development does not live up to expectations and the company is working on a new direction.
Why Apple bought Matcha.tv, opinions differ – at last no significant patents or successful in terms of popularity applications or extensive contracts with suppliers of digital content. The only logical explanation is that the program filling service in any way connected with plans to release its own TV station.
