Apple leads the U.S. smartphone market with a share of 41.4%, Samsung 27.7%

ComScore released a report reflecting the development of mobile market in the United States . Previously, Apple mobile platform failed to maintain the trend and iOS slightly lost in that period . Android, however, strengthened its position .

According to statistics from ComScore, 167,9 million people in the U.S. use smartphones by the end of April , which is 5 % more than in January this year .

Android’s share from February to April increased by 0.8 % to 52,5%, iOS decreased by 0.2 % , reaching 41.4% . Canadian maker of BlackBerry smartphones in the three months lost 0.6 % and stood at 2.5% , while the share of Microsoft- OS increased by 0.1 percentage points to 3.3%.

From the standpoint of the most popular smartphones manufacturer in the U.S. market, Apple brand appeared first, followed by Samsung. Two leaders of the market occupied respectively 41.4% and 27.7 %, the South Korean vendor for the last three months gained 1.0 %, while the iPhone maker has lost 0.2%. LG, Motorola and HTC also declined to 6.5% , 6.3 % and 5.3 %, respectively.

According to the research , Facebook in September acquired 74.1% of mobile devices on iOS and Android. Following are Google Play and YouTube with indicators 50.9 % and 49.7 %, respectively.
