Apple plans to use a glass body for at least one of the models of the iPhone that will be released in 2017 and thus offer a stylistic solution already seen in the past, according to Nikkei. Apple will use glass for the body of at least one of the outgoing iPhone in 2017, in order to differentiate themselves from the multitude of smartphones aluminum now on the market. According to the source, the use of glass does not lead to lower prices of future iPhone, partly because Apple will still have to use a durable metal frame that requires advanced processing technology.

So far, we do not know what the design of the device will have but according to rumors and a recent statement by an executive Catcher, 2017 iPhone will be made out of glass, something reminiscent of the iPhone 4/4s. This was revealed by the executive Catcher, Allen Horng, at a meeting with the shareholders of his company, but also said it would not be all crystal device, but it would have a metal bezel, which, again, we recalls iPhone 4/4s.

“As far as I know, only one [iPhone] model will adopt glass casing next year,” Horng told reporters after the annual shareholder meeting on Thursday. “I don’t think this move will have an impact on Catcher’s revenue as glass casing still needs a durable metal frame which requires advanced processing technology and would not be cheaper than the current model.”

Horng commentary spoke of a future in which an important client make changes Apple will make that could affect users, but those changes could be even more profitable for your company. While it is true that there is less metal, Horn says that external parties need to “technology advanced processing” so that its manufacture is higher than that of an all metal housing cost, as is present in the iPhone 6/6s.

Absolutely all analysts say the next smartphone apple will be important. There are many new features that may include, as an OLED display, the expected (for three years) new design or Touch ID built into the screen, but Apple can not forget this year’s model, so there are many who believe that the housing is the only thing to share with the iPhone 6s. Hopefully no mistake or Apple could have very poor sales in 2016.
