Apple releases budget version of 21.5-inch iMac for $1,099

cheaper_imac_2014_2Apple updated a budget friendly  21.5-inch iMac models for a starting price of $1,099 with a 1.4 GHz. Earlier prices started with $1,299.

Last updated iMac line was last September. Then the “all-in-one” computers received quad-core processors based on Intel Haswell, powerful graphics, wireless interface Wi-Fi 802.11ac support and updated Flash-drives. The new cheaper model of iMac has a dual-core Intel Core i5. Each core has a nominal clock frequency of 1.4 GHz due to Turbo Boost technology which is increased to 2.7 GHz.

In addition, there are 8 GB of RAM, integrated Intel HD Graphics 5000 graphics  and the hard drive to 500 GB upgradeable to 1 TB HDD or flash drive capacity of 256 GB,  the channel width doubles to 80 MHz.  When connected to a base station, the 802.11ac speed can reach up to 600 Mbit / s. Also

The new iMac, as well as all one-piece since November 2012 was enclosed in a thin aluminum body. It has two Thunderbolt port and four-port USB 3.0. moreover, comes with OS X Maverics operating system pre-installed on the computer,   iWork, Pages, Numbers spreadsheet editor office suite, Keynote creating presentations , as well as the iLife package for editing video, music and photos.
