Apple Releases Cheaper Retina 5K iMac And 15-inch MacBook Pro With Force Touch

Apple today introduced the new MacBook Pro with Retina 15-inch screen, which now includes Force Touch trackpad, faster flash storage, longer battery life and faster graphics, the which provides more capacity and performance to the range of MacBook Pro. Apple also announced a new configuration for the iMac with Retina display 5K of 27 inches, with 14.7 million pixels, quad-core processors and AMD graphics.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro features the spectacular Force Touch trackpad that lets you interact with your Mac in a whole new way. Thanks to its force sensors and Taptic engine that produces a haptic feedback, the Force Touch trackpad lets you click anywhere on the surface with a smooth feel, and set the pressure needed to click. The new trackpad supports new gestures like the new click of strength, and there are various APIs available for independent developers to incorporate the functions of the Force Touch your apps.

The new MacBook Pro with Retina 15-inch screen also includes flash storage up to 2.5 times faster than the previous generation, with speeds up to 2 GB / s, and provides an autonomy over time: up to 9 hours of wireless surfing and up to 9 hours of movie playback iTunes. The new iMac also includes 8GB of memory and 1TB storage, and four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt 2 ports that provide 20 Gb / s each, twice the bandwidth of the previous generation. The iMac with Retina display high 5K range is priced from $2,499 and includes an Intel Core i5 AMD Radeon R9 M290X quad-core processor at 3.5 GHz with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz, graphics and Fusion Drive 1TB.
