The Italian developer Luca Todesco release after mach_portal+yalu, an updated based on xerub version of Ian beer’s exploits mach_portal, which has fix make iPhone jailbreak with iOS 7 10.1.1 stable.
The mach_portal + yalu long-awaited update has been available to downloas for iPhone 7/7s users, which has been known to be in the works for quiet some time now. As usual, like any previous version of any tool, all beta versions prior to this release were “stable” from what was available.
Stability issues that have affected iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users in the iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak can finally be circumvented thanks to an updated version of Ian Beer’s “mach_portal” exploit entitled “extra_recipe”. This new iteration was released by the xerub developer.
Luca Todesco, in turn, took the “extra_recipe” code and paired it with his jailbreak Yalu, compiling the project into a .ipa to create the “extra_recipe + yaluX”. This effectively replaces your previous tool, the “yalu + mach_portal”.
Users who are on iOS 10.1.1 on an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus and wonder if they should upgrade because of the bugs, now it’s safe to say they should not upgrade. With this version, the jailbreak can be enjoyed satisfactorily, as users of Yalu102 – jailbreak for iOS 10.2.2.
This update will fix the backboardd problems that the mach_portal had, as well as other persistent stability problems, although the initial kernel exploit remains unchanged. This means that jailbreaking attempts may still fail a few times before running, but once that works out, stability should be far superior.
Although Todesco has already compiled a .ipa of the extra_recipe project, making it available on the official Yalu website, it is not advisable to use it yet. It is currently in Beta 1, and still does not install Cydia. Once you get to the next betas phases, users can definitely grab extra_recipe + yaluX .ipa and try it out instead of mach_portal.
For those of you interested in trying extra_recipe + yaluX beta 1 on your still without un-jailbroking iPhone 7 iOS 10.1.1, you can grab the IPA file from here.
