The right way to Allow HDR on the iPhone 3GS and 3G in iOS four.1

As , the HDR operate on this iOS four.1 will not be enabled on the iPhone 3G and 3G. But, these two units are able to running tecnhiquement. With a amendment of a file you should use it.Sadly this manipulation is for jailbroken iPhone in iOS four.1.

Installation:

1. Log in to the iPhone via SSH

  • If you have an iPhone 3G, go to the following files: / System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app /N82AP.plist
  • If you have an iPhone 3G, go to the following files: / System / Library / CoreServices / SpringBoard.app /N88AP.plist

2. Copy the file and put it on your desktop and open it with a text editor

3. Paste the following two lines below the tag:

<key> hdr-image-capture </ key>
<true/>

4. Save the document and send it on the iPhone via your FTP software. Turn on your phone, and functionality will be enabled.

Note: currently there is currently no tool to jailbreak the iphone 3G. For the former iBoot 3G, there is the modified version of PwnageTool which allows you to pass under iOS 4.1 (Read:

JAILBREAK IPHONE 3G AND IPOD TOUCH 2G IOS 4.1 with Redsn0w 0-9-5beta).

Download and Requirements:

  • A jailbroken iPhone 3G or 3G in iOS 4.1
  • Have installed OpenSSH on the iPhone
  • Learn to connect your computer with SSH depui
  • A text editor like TextWrangler for Mac or NotePad + + for Windows
