To put your iPhone 7 in Recovery Mode, follow these steps:
Step 1. Turn off the device completely (press the top button until the red slider menu appears).
Step 2. Once you connect the lightning cable to the iPhone 7 and the other end to a computer running iTunes while holding down the home button (the front of the device). In case of an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus have to hold the volume down button.
Step 3. Hold the Home button (or volume down if iPhone 7) down until you see a Connect to iTunes screen like the following appears:
Step 4. When you see the Apple logo appears on the screen, do not release the buttons yet . If not, then restart the steps from the beginning.
After these steps,release the Sleep/Wake + Volume Down button when you the iTunes logo display on your iPhone 7 screen, it means you are into Recovery mode.
Here you can choose whether to restore the current version of the device or upgrade to the latest version. It is important to note that in case of choosing the option to restore all data stored on the device will be lost. How To Enter Your iPhone 7 Or iPhone 7 Plus Into DFU Mode
DFU mode is a bit more “aggressive” than the Recovery mode. That is why if as described above were not enough, you try this.
Step 1. Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone 7 lightning cable to the USB cable.
Step 2. Turn off your iOS device. Hold the top button until the bar shut appears.
Step 3. Once off the device, you must simultaneously press Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button for 10 seconds exactly. It is important to count the seconds, as otherwise the process will not work (during the apple of Apple disappear from the screen of the device).
Step 4. After 10 seconds release the the Sleep/Wake button while holding the Home button (or volume down if the new iPhone 7) for another 10 seconds or until iTunes recognizes the device.

Usually, these steps will enter your iPhone or iPad into DFU mode and be restored. If for any reason you do not want to do the restoration and already have the device in DFU mode you just have to hold down the home button and the top button until the phone is restarted.
