Although you can find thousands apps and games in the App Store, many old-school games have not been included in the app store so the so-called emulators were created. One of those emulators is iGBA 2.0, a tool that allows you to load games from the Game Boy Advance and play them for free in the iDevice’s own browser. You will learn how to  download this Emulator without jailbreak or access to a computer.

Currently there are many emulators based on this same system except that they require jailbreaking devices or perform complex actions with your computer. This throws back a large number of people who just want to enjoy the classics of always immediately on your device great games like Dragon Ball Z, Jim Esathworm, Final Fantasy or Pokemon in its different editions.

Assume iGBA 2.0 is a free emulator with which you can play all these classics are need jailbreak or complex tricks to install it on your device. All you need is an Internet connection and an iOS device. Here the steps to follow to install the iGBA 2.0 tool on your iDevice:

How to Manage the ROMs Emulator

Once inside the IGBA 2.0 emulator is very simple. At the top you can load our own ROMs. It is best to use the Files app to store your ROMs so that when uploading the file it is much easier to load it. In the lower part will appear the game added. In my case, as you can see, I added the Legend of Zelda in one of his many adventures.

In the top right, you will see a button shaped bag, that’s the repository library. Once inside, you will see a list of repositories where a lot of ROMs are stored. Search for games among all the repositories but in case of not finding a certain game and you have a library where it is located, click on the + button on the top right and add the URL of the library, it will load and install the ROM without any problem.

iGBA 2.0 is very simple to use. When you find a game you like, click on it and a message like the following will appear:

Your game has been added to your library

That means that the game you have selected has been added to your library. You can add as many games as you want since they will all be stored in your library. In addition, you do not have to add them all at once but you can go exploring all the repositories and add all those you want to have. Once you have it, press on the arrow in the upper left until you get to the library.

Note that this tutorial is compatible with both the iPhone and the iPad. What happens is that the advances you make in the game will not be saved on both devices. In addition, the iPad has the advantage of size for trips or long stays, while the iPhone allows us more versatility and greater availability.

To start playing just press one of the games added to the library. You will access a screen divided into halves: in the first half the game will appear in question (it will take a few seconds to load the ROM) and at the bottom you will find the game controls: LR, AB, Select, Start, Menu and buttons of direction.

If you click on Menu, you will access the three possible options that you can modify in iGBA 2.o. To exit the game, simply press on Menu and select Close emulator. You will return to the home page where you can select new games or access the repository library again
