After Android 5.0 lollipop and Sense 6 already running on Android as seen on a video yesterday, the appropriate update for the HTC One (M8) is distributed from now on. The rollout begins in the United States and likely to reach European plains in the near future.
Prior to the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop various manufacturers have communicated approximate schedules for corresponding updates to their smartphones tablets respectively outward. At HTC we gave the promise to provide a corresponding update to its flagship devices of the past two years, within 90 days of receipt of the source code. This self-imposed countdown expires on February 2nd.

But it took only 70 days until the first update for the HTC One (M8) could be released. This tells the company via Twitter. In the US, owner of provider-free or developer devices currently offered to get a system update. The distribution has begun on the night of 13 to 14 January and already achieved some users. This allows them to not only look forward for Android 5.0.1 lollipop, but also on a revised Sense 6 surface. This includes, among other things, a revised lockscreen, which from then displays the alerts, the Task Manager in the cards look, a redesigned the launcher and a refreshed camera app.

So far, the approximately 585 MB hard OTA update is offered only in the United States; However, we assume that the manufacturer will extend its distribution area quickly and soon also in this country may refresh owner of a HTC One (M8) on Android 5.0 and Sense Lollipop 6. An update to Sense 7, which will be presented presumably the next flagship smartphone of the Taiwanese people, is expected to arrive in May, incidentally rumored. When, however, the HTC one (M7) will maintain a lollipop update was initially not communicating – so far: the countdown is 19 days.
