The kernel version for this ROM is 2.6.29-01117-g4bc62c2 android-build@apa26 #1 while baseband version is 32.26.00.24U_4.04.00.03_2.
If you were hoping for Flash Player in this build, you will be disappointed as Flash isn’t included in this build. If you want Flash, the leaked HTC Desire ROM for Nexus One is the way to go. Flash Player 10.1 for Android is officially scheduled to be released sometime this year.
I have tried this ROM on my Nexus One and have found some performance improvements, but not by much. Installation procedure is simple and straight forward. Simply head over to Modaco forums to download this update and install it by following the steps posted here.

Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, recently held a conference at the University of Washington, he stated: "Apple has done a great job that allows people to sell and monetize their intellectual property".
According Brier Dudley, a columnist at the Seattle Times, the relationship between Apple and Microsoft are warming. Rumors in January suggested that the search engine Bing could be integrated into Safari Mobile.
Microsoft and Apple could unite against a greater threat: Google. Indeed, the relationship between Apple and Google do not seem at all rosy since the Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, was asked to resign from the board of Apple.
Google is in full competition with Apple, since Google has released Android, an operating system for smartphones, Google Chrome, web browser or the next operating system: Google Chrome OS.
Brier Dudley interviewed Steve Ballmer about the Google threat. The latter did not wish to answer and was just contented smile. [via AppleInsider]

The iPad will be realeased without some of the applications created by Apple and installed automatically on the iPhone and iPod touch. Small utilities Calculator, Weather, Clock, Stock and Dictaphone. Their absence from the main screen picture of the Apple iPad had already been noticed. Some had even imagined that to replace the iPad (via iPhone OS) would adopt a system of widgets as found for example on Android.
None of this says John Gruber on the basis of well-informed sources said, this collection of utilities will not be there on D-Day decision to Steve Jobs.
The latter would have simply said that the result of their adaptation with the same interface, the format of the iPad was not very successful. Perhaps they will return in another form, with a completely revised interface ... maybe not.
The developers of similar applications exist on the App Store will go anyway to forego attempting to take their place in the hearts of users. With the advantage that these applications can be uninstalled at will while it was impossible to remove those when Apple was still no use

In wishing all costs before submitting its shelf Apple, HP has put in an uncomfortable situation. Indeed, the manufacturer must occupy the land until the market its product only expected this summer.
Nothing better than a little dramatic video to remember the good memories of the user who might be tempted by the iPad, which goes on sale next month.
In the note associated with the video, HP insists that Slate will support Flash and Adobe AIR. This argument does succeed in convincing those who hesitate between islation and the iPad?

Currently the iPhone is running OS 3.1.3 and the iPad will run OS 3.2 when it ships. It's widely expected that a new iPhone will be announced in June that will bring new hardware as well as OS 4.0. Many assumed that Apple would use this major OS release to unify the two systems; however, The Loop suggests this won't happen till fall.
iPhone OS 4.0 will include lots of new features, just like you would expect to see from Apple. However, It doesn’t make sense for Apple to unify the two operating systems for 4.0 with the timeline they are working with.[via loopinsight]

Energizer Duo connects to a USB port to recharge AA or AAA batteries. It is equipped with software to manage these refills. And it was in her womb that sailed the malicious code. This code (analyzed by Symantec) backdoor is a backdoor which allows a remote user via TCP port 7777 to send or to import or execute files on the machine fallible. The trojan is in the file Arucer.dll, registered in the System32 folder. This file is called by UsbCharger.dll, other software installed by Energizer Duo via RunDLL32.exe. For good measure, Arucer.dll modifies the registry to run at every Windows startup
The most notable feature in this frame is that the webcam holes remain. The holes appear to be a slightly different style and don’t seem to allow one of the currently used iSight modules (such as in a Unibody Macbook) to fit snug into the hole. It, however, seems strange that multiple versions of this midboard frame have the webcam holes when no currently known model includes a webcam.
Generally manufacturing companies that have two different revisions of a product will try to save money on production by using interchangeable parts, but from the looks of this so far, all of these prerelease parts are being made to house hardware that is not available on any model. This could be attributed to either a late minute announcement that will have people pulling out their wallets, or it was a last minute design pull. (The fact that the camera holes made it from supposed prototype to final revision could possibly support some type of late announcement theory….though we seriously doubt it.)[via powerbookmedic]

The first television commercial for the iPad aired during the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. The 30-second spot shows the iPad in use, and highlights many of the device’s built-in applications, including Photos, Maps, iTunes, iPod, Safari, Calendar, and Mail, along with iBooks, the iBookstore, and Pages. The ad finishes by showing the device’s launch date followed by the iPad name.
Steve Jobs has been busy answering emails this week. This time, Steve spared his time to respond to GCN’s John Breeden disbelief about the iPad’s battery life that was claimed by Jobs’ during his presentation on January 27 event at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. In his previous column last week, Breeden showed serious serious concerns and doubts about the iPad’s estimated 10 hours of battery life, in response to which he received lot many bad comments from Apple’s fans. Prior to responding to those comments, he thought it was rather appropriate to put the whole issue and his perspective to Steve once again for his final opinion.
I e-mailed him to say that I didn’t mean to imply that he was lying during his iPad presentation, as several people accused me of in their comments. People make presentations written by marketers all the time that are not 100 percent truthful, and it doesn’t make them liars.
Breeden further asked confirmation about one of the comment that was signed as “Steve Jobs”, and he got his answer:
Sorry, wasn’t me.
And, yes, we are getting 10 hours in 1.5 pounds.
Sent from my iPad
There you go! This smart, crisp, and to the point reply of Steve now shoudnt leave any doubt on iPad’s 10 hours of battery life. [via MacRumors and TiPB]

A shock could be avoided, as HTC replied, "People sometimes forget that this type of device is not meant to be put in a pocket." - In the siding other than in a pocket. It could certainly be avoided as HTC said. Personally, mine is constantly in my pocket with its protective cover provided with.
