Twidget Update Puts Twitter on Your iPhone Lockscreen

 Just install the application from Cydia, you'll see an icon on the springboard and we will enter the login information for our Twitter account.Once logged in, there will be left open Winterboard, set the eponymous subject, lock the screen and go LockScreen.

Chipotle has Free Burrito for Halloween

How to Synch your iPhone/iPod Touch with Multiple Computers

For your convenience instructions for Part One and Part Two are provided for both Windows and Mac. 

PART ONE (MAC):
If your main computer is a Mac start here...

Step One
Open a new Finder window by clicking the Finder icon in the dock.


Step Two
Select Go to Folder... from the Go menu.



Step Three
Input ~/Music/iTunes into the textfield then click the Go button.



Step Four
Double click the file named iTunes Music Library.xml to open it in TextEdit.



Step Five
Write down the value of the Library Persistent ID key. Take care not to modify the file before closing. It should look something like D501EB4887717F8F.




PART ONE (WINDOWS):
If your main computer is a Windows PC start here...

Step One
Press the Windows (Start) button at the bottom left of the screen and select Music from the menu.



Step Two
Double click the iTunes folder.



Step Three
Double click the file named iTunes Music Library.xml to open it in Notepad



Step Four
Write down the value of the Library Persistent ID key. Take care not to modify the file before closing. It should look something like 20F830293962CBA4

PART TWO (MAC):
If your secondary computer is a Mac continue here....

Step One
Open a new Finder window by clicking the Finder icon in the dock.


Step Two
Select Go to Folder... from the Go menu.



Step Three
Input ~/Music/iTunes into the textfield then click the Go button.



Step Four
First we will create a backup of iTunes Music Library.xml and iTunes Library. Select both files and press Command+c then Command+v on your keyboard. This will make a backup copy of the files.






Step Five
Double click to open iTunes Music Library.xml.



Step Six
Make note of the current Library Persistent ID then change the Library Persistent ID key to the one we wrote down from Part One and save the file.






Step Seven
Now we will need to open iTunes Library using a HexEditor. You can download HexEdit from here

Step Eight
Once you have opened iTunes Library use HexEdit to search for the old Library Persistent ID we replaced in Step Five. Do this by clicking Find from the Menubar. Make sure to select Hex as your search type.



Step Eight
Once found replace the old Library Persistent ID with the one from Part One and save the file.






Step Nine
You can now launch iTunes and connect your iPhone to the new computer for syncing. Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Notice if now select Manually manage music and videos from the Summary Tab you will no longer be prompted to erase your data, nor will the files on your iPhone be grayed out.





PART TWO (WINDOWS):
If your secondary computer is a Windows PC continue here....

GeoHot has posted a video demonstrating the first iPhone unlock being performed with BlackSn0w.

Trick or Treat Times 2009 and Halloween Safety

Halloween is Saturday, October 31st, 2009, but what time does trick or treating actually start? Kids will be running around the neighborhood in Halloween costumes, looking for Hershey Bars and Twizzlers. Here are some important safety tips to make sure Halloween is safe and fun.

Daylight Saving Time 2009
This year, Daylight Saving Time 2009 – November 1st – happens after the kids have finished with their trick or treating, and are fast asleep in their beds. That's good news, as it will stay light one hour later, leaving more time for kids to roam the streets going from house to house looking for candy in the dark.

What Time is Trick or Treating?
A suggested time for trick or treating would be between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm for children 8 years and under, getting them home in time for supper and bedtime.
For children 8 - 12 years old, anytime between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm is good, provided the neighborhood is safe, and adult supervision is provided.
Kids over 12 have a little more leeway, depending on the situations and adult guidance.

Safety Tips for Trick or Treating With Small Children

• Children under a certain age should always be accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Costumes and masks should not cover the eyes or ears, or restrict movement.
• Costumes should have reflective tape on them, and be accompanied with a flashlight and whistle. Glow sticks are handy to have in their pockets as well.

Safety Tips for Older Trick or Treater's

• If your child is old enough to go alone, agree on a neighborhood route.
• Agree on who the child is going with and make sure they have contact numbers and a cell phone with them.
• Set a firm time as to when they will be home.
• Stress to the child about the importance of not talking to strangers, or accepting rides from them.
• Always check the candy over before they begin eating it. Throw away anything that looks suspicious.

Sears Black Friday ad revealed

Woe betide the Black Friday bargain hunter; where once there were stellar deals on giant televisions and hard disk drives now there are slight discounts on underwear and handbags. Sears' ad for this year has been unearthed and, while it naturally has an eclectic selection of goodies on sale ranging from power tools to KitchenAid mixers (and that's just on the front page), from a gadgety perspective we're not finding anything quite worth lining up at 3:00am in November for. There's a 40-inch Samsung 1080p LCD for $599, about $50 cheaper than we can find it for online, and a similar Sony model for $664 -- a whole $10 less than Amazon is asking for a comparable model with free shipping and no uncomfortable small talk with other half-frozen shopaholics. A raft of cheap but mediocre games and movies will be available, some soon to be obsolete GPS devices, and lots of other random things stuffed into the PDF scan linked below. BlackSn0w Unlock for iPhone Is Coming Soon

Geohot has announced that an unlock dubbed BlackSn0w for the iPhone 05.11.07 baseband is coming soon.

This means that all iPhones will be unlockable; including those that have accidentally or intentionally upgraded to the latest firmware.
