The Mac has a chance for Windows 7 Series Phone

Windows 7 Series Phone with the Mac is not automatically excluded. Aaron Woodman, one of the leaders of the mobile division of Microsoft responded with "maybe" at a conference organized by Engadget. No warranty is coming from him, but he said that discussions were taking place internally on the question of whether to go beyond support for Windows.

Steve Jobs has not Update his iPhone to Firmware 3.1.3 yet

 Recently it was reported that Apple fired 40 employees from the Final Cut team. Macsoda sent an email to Jobs regarding the state of Final Cut Pro.

Jobs replied saying the following, 

"No worries. FCP is alive and well.

Sent from my iPhone"

9to5Mac had a look at the headers to confirm this email was authentic. Interestingly the email is from iPhone Mail (7D11) which means Jobs is still using OS 3.1.2. He hasn't updated to OS 3.1.3 (7E18) and isn't using a 4.0 beta as you might expect.

So now you have another reason not to update to OS 3.1.3!

LG's Windows Phone 7 Series early prototype [video]

 Microsoft has come with a prototype LG Phone running Windows 7. This confirms the rumors that LG could deliver in September a smartphone equipped with the latest version of Windows Phone.The QWERTY slider is the first branded Windows Phone 7 Series device the world's ever seen..[via Engadget]

Windows Phone 7 Series (Metro UI) Theme

The said UI is still in very early stages of development, and has some bugs as can be expected but it promises a lot. Here is how it currently looks like running on a HTC HD2.

  

 

Current version of the theme includes lock and home screen with ‘Live Tiles’ for phone, SMS, mail and weather. The developer promises to bring more customization options (changing wallpapers), more smoother animations, ability to rearrange icons/tiles, right-side program launcher and social network integration.

Lower Cost iPhone Models in June

 

Analyst Katy Huberty expects Apple to introduce a new model in June that will be economically friendly to even more consumers.

"We expect Apple to launch new iPhones in June that offer both a lower total cost of ownership and new functionality, potentially including gesture-based technology," she wrote.

Huberty is bullish on Apple's stock and optimistic about the iPad.

"We expect Apple to ship its first iPad and announce additional content deals in late March to better than expected demand," Huberty wrote.[via Appleinsider]

iPhone 4G ADR Studio Concept Video

  

Things get even more interesting when the iPhone 4G is the theme of the concept video. That’s right folks, ADR Studio have published a concept video which shows their vision for the next generation of iPhone. Video can be seen after the jump.

ADR Studio has posted a video and renderings of their concept for the iPhone 4G.

Their design features a new AMOLED screen, an aluminum enclosure, a front facing camera, and iPhone OS 4.0.

Gull1hack iPhone Jailbreak Tool is Fake

You've probably seen the word Gull1hack on the web these last hours, because it would be an unknown team which managed to jailbreak a sustainable way for the iPhone last BootRoom 3GS. The team even sent videos to try to prove their accomplishment but specialize in something are almost sure he is a fake

This is what the iPhone Dev-Team had to say about Gull1hack.

Don’t be fooled by gull1hack. http://iphwn.org/gh.txt <-It’s designed to say Transfer failed. Avoid trojans and viruses.

And this is the message you will get when you try and use this tool with your iPhone  and iPod touch.

Stay away from all such tools until and unless they are confirmed as working. Only redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, PwnageTool, ultrasn0w and blacksn0w are confirmed as working.

iPhone 3.2 Advancement Photo Editing Features

 In addition to supporting video conferencing through a front facing camera and external LED flash, the new firmware will also include built-in tools which will enable to do basic photo editing like crop and rotate directly on device without any third party app.

The three icon images in SDK: PLRotation_TueFeb23_200…2010.png,crop_TueFeb23_200851_2010.png and dashedPhoto_TueFeb23_20…010.png clearly indicates that the  next iPhone OS will allow us to:

• Crop Image
• Rotate Image
• Select a region in image

iPhone OS 3.1.3 was released earlier this month which brought some important security and bug fixes for iPhones and iPod touches.

iPhone OS 4.0/3.2 is expected to be released in the last week of March to go concurrently with iPad which will ship in the same time frame.

 It is expected to feature a faster processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, support for WiFi-N standard and so on.[via 9to5Mac]

Nexus One Overclocked to 9Ghz

 Android hackers have managed to overclock the Google. Nexus One up to 9Ghz, hence making it the fastest clocked smartphone machine available today.

The modded Android 2.1 Kernel with overclocking capabilities hasn’t been released yet, as I suppose it is still under testing. We also don’t know on whether the Nexus One overclocked to 9Ghz was running stable. We’ll let you know as soon as the modded Kernel is available for download. [via BlogsDNA]

iPhone 3GS in Titanium is real[video]

 The stunning titanium iPhone 3GS from this morning is back, proving not only its existence in the corporeal realm,  "Basically I designed a new back cover for the 3GS. I had the original cover measured digitally, and I then started to draw the new cover in CAD. It's made out of a special titanium alloy that is RF transparent. I had tried aluminum but that was a complete disaster."

Romazzino didn't post the material cost of the titanium used. If reasonable I'm sure many people would love a phone that matched their MacBook or iMac. Personally I find the Apple logo far to large but otherwise the mod looks great!

but also its much-disputed ability to place a call.
