WiFiFoFum Shows Up in Cydia for Free

WiFiFoFum was paying an application available on Apple Store but since it seems to have been withdrawn. It occurs when free on Cydia Store!

WiFiFoFum 2.0.1 is a free application from the BigBoss repo available on Cydia.

This application is one of the best portable scanner network wifi.Elle displays a set of information-Fi network detected come ESID name, MAC address, RSSI signal strength, security mode.

  

 

This week, Apple has started pulling all WiFi finder apps. This time they have more of a legal reason to do so. Apparently, these WiFi apps use undocumented, private API’s. This is something Apple does not allow.

Infiniboard: Springboard vertical slider Released Today

Chpwn creator of Infinidock and Proswitcher,released a vertical scrolling springboard called infinidock,  As you can see in this screen shot, there are icons behind the dock. Not sure sure how many rows we will get, but this mod will give so much more room on our Springboards.   

Chpwn has announced that his latest tweak should be available in Cydia at around 5:00pm (PST). This developer’s other iPhone mods have proved to be incredible. Infinidock gives you the ability to have an large amount of icons on your dock, with up to 10 per page, and the ability to horizontially scroll through them, right on the dock. Proswitcher, also released by chpwn, works in conjuction with Backgrounder, to give you a “Palm Pre” experience, when switching between apps.

Can the iPad Tether with the iPhone?

Steve Jobs this week, asking about whether or not iPad will be able to tether with the iPhone? The full email which was sent is as follows.

I’ll keep it short. 
I’m Jezper from Sweden, a long time Apple fan, currently about to replace the very last computer at home with a brand spanking new iMac i7. I’m also awaiting the release of the iPad. However, I have one question: 
Will the wifi-only version somehow support tethering thru my iPhone? 
Two devices, based on the same OS, with already built-in technology to share one data plan suggests a secondary contract could possibly be redundant. 
From the look of your keynote, where the iPad sits well between my MacBook Pro and my iPhone, I was hoping the three of them could interact as seamless as possible.

So that pretty much settles this issue. iPad will NOT be able to tether with the iPhone.

Yesterday, Apple announced the official release dates for the much hyped iPad. The WiFi models of iPad will be available on retail starting from 3rd April. [via 9to5Mac]

Record your iPhone/iPod touch screen with ScreenRecorder

 ScreenRecorder 1.2 is a very interesting new tweak available from Cydia under BigBoss repo developed by Elton Bolzanac for $ 1.99.

His goal: Capture the screen of iPhone as a movie.

      

 
 
 

This application let’s you take video captures of your screen. This is extremely useful for quick tutorials or demonstrations, or when you want to show proof of a new hack you have accomplished. There are obviously many other uses for this. For example, you could use this like a “Notes”application, but with video instead of words!

Since the app uses lots of resources during screen recording, don’t be too surprised if it crashes a lot, specially on iPod touch 2G and iPhone 3G both of which have less RAM when compared to iPhone 3GS.

ScreenRecorder app requires you to have an jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch.

Push Doctor Notifications Fix for Hacktivated iPhones

     

 
 
 

If you have had the old Cydia Pushfix or PushFix 2.0 installed, I’ll suggest you to start from scratch by restoring your iPhone to iPhone 3.1.2, or iPhone 3.1.3 firmware.

Step 1: Start Cydia and then add http://cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/ repo in the Cydia sources.

Step 2: Once the repo has been added, simply search for “Push Doctor” app in Cydia and install it.

Step 3: Reboot your iPhone.

Step 4: That’s it! Now simply install any Push capable app from App Store like IM+, Beejive IM, Ping! or Boxcar and Push should be working on them right away!

iPhone 4G ADR Studio Concept Video

  

Things get even more interesting when the iPhone 4G is the theme of the concept video. That’s right folks, ADR Studio have published a concept video which shows their vision for the next generation of iPhone. Video can be seen after the jump.

ADR Studio has posted a video and renderings of their concept for the iPhone 4G.

Their design features a new AMOLED screen, an aluminum enclosure, a front facing camera, and iPhone OS 4.0.

Gull1hack iPhone Jailbreak Tool is Fake

You've probably seen the word Gull1hack on the web these last hours, because it would be an unknown team which managed to jailbreak a sustainable way for the iPhone last BootRoom 3GS. The team even sent videos to try to prove their accomplishment but specialize in something are almost sure he is a fake

This is what the iPhone Dev-Team had to say about Gull1hack.

Don’t be fooled by gull1hack. http://iphwn.org/gh.txt <-It’s designed to say Transfer failed. Avoid trojans and viruses.

And this is the message you will get when you try and use this tool with your iPhone  and iPod touch.

Stay away from all such tools until and unless they are confirmed as working. Only redsn0w, sn0wbreeze, PwnageTool, ultrasn0w and blacksn0w are confirmed as working.

iPhone 3.2 Advancement Photo Editing Features

 In addition to supporting video conferencing through a front facing camera and external LED flash, the new firmware will also include built-in tools which will enable to do basic photo editing like crop and rotate directly on device without any third party app.

The three icon images in SDK: PLRotation_TueFeb23_200…2010.png,crop_TueFeb23_200851_2010.png and dashedPhoto_TueFeb23_20…010.png clearly indicates that the  next iPhone OS will allow us to:

• Crop Image
• Rotate Image
• Select a region in image

iPhone OS 3.1.3 was released earlier this month which brought some important security and bug fixes for iPhones and iPod touches.

iPhone OS 4.0/3.2 is expected to be released in the last week of March to go concurrently with iPad which will ship in the same time frame.

 It is expected to feature a faster processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, support for WiFi-N standard and so on.[via 9to5Mac]

Gull1hack Jailbreak iPhone New BootRoom untethered?

A new group of hackers has emerged on the canvas and made a fairly noticeable entry. In fact, just arrived, they said they found a new exploit for the new BootRoom 3GS the iPhone and iPod Touch.

This Exploit works on ALL iPhone and iPod Touches.

While booting, we overun the buffer memory, letting the iPhone think there is something wrong; But in the moment it tries to enter safe mode, we send a boot signal like Blackra1n or Redsn0w.

They have also posted a video demo which shows off the upcoming jailbreaking tool in action.

With this new program, you should be able to perform the jailbreak untethered on new devices from Apple. The operation is very simple and the code is sent when the device is in recovery mode (restore mode), as does Blackra1n or Redsn0w.

The authors of this software have contacted the DevTeam and Geohot to know the reliability of their programs .... Today, we are still waiting their response ....

The tool should be called Gull1hack but we can not guarantee the veracity of his action. Only after examining the DevTeam, if we know the program is validated. Unlock for 05.12.01 Baseband on iPhone 3.1.3 Release Seems Imminent

Geohot who had hardly finished hacking the PS3, back in the world of the iPhone.

Geohot has managed to exploit a flaw in this as in said baseband-unlock.

While no ETA was given, judging by his tweet, it may not be too long before we get the updated version of blacksn0w which can unlock 05.12.01 baseband on iPhone 3.1.3 firmware.

For safekeeping d8b50dc95d7906e3ff6155331a534b55d0f6cac1=good. And motorama this weekend!

As a reminder, this accompanied the baseband update to 3.1.3 and 3G iPhones 3Gs.

 

It will therefore soon expect to have an update to Blacksn0w. MuscleNerd, a member of the Dev Team will probably also be an update to Ultrasn0w.
