On Tuesday, Apple released the first beta of iOS 8.1.1 firmware update for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. According to the update log, it fixes bugs and improves stability and performance for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.
YouTube user Kabriolett decided to compare the performance of iPhone 4s on iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.1.1, published visual performance test at start of certain applications. During testing on two smartphones opens a standard system applications, Alarm Clock, Calendar, Weather, Safari, Mail, Camera, Maps, App Store, and others; tested download speed devices.
Testing iPhone 4s with operating systems iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.1 showed no clear leader in performance. Different applications run on devices with different speeds. In some cases, the faster was iOS 8.1 (Camera, Music), a leader in other iOS 8.1.1 (App Store, Notes, Weather, Calendar, Clock, Facebook). In benchmark Geekbench, evaluates the performance of the processor, “esque” with iOS 8.1 shows the result of 216 and 411 points, with iOS 8.1.1 – 190 and 398.
It is necessary however to remember that iOS 8.1.1 is still in beta status, so to the final release of the results may vary.
