The third  build of the new  iOS 6.1 firmware released yesterday for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad to registered developers can be hacked to install unofficial applications store and Cydia  tweaks. Jailbreak iOS 6.1 can be used with the latest version of the exploit from jailbreak hackers iPhone Dev Team.

Using Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 can tethered jailbreak iOS 6.1, though the application is limited to compatible devices. Just as in the case of jailbreak iOS 6.0.1, currently only supports the utility gadgets processor A4, including iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G. The other models in the A5 (iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPod touch, and iPad mini), A5X (iPad 3), A6 (iPhone 5) and A6X (iPad 4) is not compatible with any of the public exploits. Now iPhone Dev Team is working to untether iOS 6.x.

How to jailbreak iOS 6.1 beta 3 for iPhone and iPod touch with Redsn0w:

Step 1: Download the firmware iOS 6.1 beta 3 here and IPSW-file iOS 6.0 from here.

Step 2: Download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 from our page.

Step 3: Open the application in administrator mode, if you’re on Windows or make a click, hold down Ctrl, and select “Open” from the new menu, if you are a user OS X Mountain Lion.

Step 4: Go to the menu Extras -> Select IPSW and specify in the IPSW-file iOS 6.0 (not iOS 6.1 beta 3) on the device for which you are performing the jailbreak.

Step 5: Go back to the main screen and click the Jailbreak, Cydia then turn and put your device intoDFU mode.

Step 6: Redsn0w will perform the procedure jailbreak iOS 6.1. After completion click “Autoboot this device when it connects into DFU mode” to switch to tethered jailbreak.  After rebooting your device, you will it jailbroken running iOS 6.1 beta 3.

From now on every time you reboot or turn off the iPhone or iPod touch, you have to connect your device to your computer and perform the jailbreak process againwith a special Redsn0w tweak. To do that, open the section “Extras” and click “Just boot”.
