Japan Display unveiled a 5.5-inch display 2560 x 1440 pixels, which can be used in the new iPhone

New Japan Display panel has a diagonal of 5.46 inches (about 13.87 cm) and is based on the technology of low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS). Its overall dimensions – 128.26 x 70.94 x 1.35 mm. The width of the side and top of the screen frames is only 1 mm, while the width of the bottom – 5.4 mm.

The display resolution is 2560 x 1440 pixels, and the number of pixels per inch is equal to 538 ppi. For comparison, the iPad Air tablet with 9.7- inch screen has a resolution 1536h2048 points and index ppi, equal to 264. As the producer , the panel provides coverage of 70 % of the color space of NTSC. Stated brightness, contrast and viewing angles , respectively , 450 cd / m ², 1000:1 and not less than 160 °.

Japan Display claims that the new screens allow you to view high-quality multimedia content on mobile devices with a diagonal of more than 5 inches.
