Microsoft is willing to pay up to $650 to trade your MacBook Air for a Surface Pro 3

While presenting  Surface Pro 3 tablet computer, Microsoft tried to demonstrate the superiority of their product compare to the  MacBook Air. Now in Redmond company decided to stop,  on the other side, the software giant has launched a trade-in program for users to switch from Macbook Air to Surface Pro 3.

Microsoft has announced a share, under which by trading to Surface Pro 3, owners of MacBook Air will receive a gift certificate equivalent of  up $650 that can be spent on the purchase of Surface RT, Surface Pro or other products in retail stores.

Microsoft will only accept the MacBook Air, which have a presentation (without the physical and internal issues). The proposal is applies to the U.S. and Canada, where Apple, as you know, takes high position in the market.

The campaign started shortly after Microsoft lowered the price of Surface Pro 2. Older version of the tablet, equipped with flash storage of 64 GB, is now available for $800 instead of $900. $100 short, SSD-equipped unit with a capacity of 128 GB: it can now be purchased for $900.

Older models of Surface Pro 2 SSD 256 GB and 512 GB prices was dropped by $200. Microsoft now sells them for $1100 and $1600 respectively. Optional dock is offered at a discount of $ 20. As for tablets Surface Pro 3, their price varies depending on the version from $800 to $1,950. Deliveries will begin June 20. Recall that last year, Microsoft was forced to write off $900 million in the form of tablets accumulated in line Surface warehouses.
