Microsoft takes one of the highlights Windows Phone apps to iOS and Android. On Thursday, the company announced the arrival of Office Lens at two major platforms mobile world.
Lens Office functions as a portable scanner you can take everywhere, allowing capture boards, signs, documents, notes or receipts so that you can record and edit on the screen of your device. Although there are already apps like Scanner Pro or CamScanner that meet the task of a scanner, the outstanding feature of Office Lens is the integration with Office.
Lens can convert Office documents into Word or PowerPoint files, like PDFs. When taking a picture of a document, Word document styles preserve and use optical character recognition (OCR, for its acronym in English) to convert the image into text. The same can be done with cards or notes on a board.
Regional Office Lens has the ability to crop, rotate and adjust what you’re capturing to modify and adjust it to make it look better. In PowerPoint, Office Lens can convert up handwriting on boards in objects that can move and change color or size. You can also edit content. Lens Office also gives you the ability to capture images and export them to OneNote, OneDrive, PowerPoint, Word or PDF (as JPG, DOCX, PPTX or PDF).
