Nokia Introduces Ozo 360-degree VR camera

Nokia has once again, that we are clear. For some time we heard news that the company will launch new mobile phones despite being held by Microsoft, but we did not expect is that Nokia was developing a system to enjoy virtual reality. In an event of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, Nokia announced Ozo, new generation camera can capture audio and video in 360 degrees.

In his spherical body extended by a handle, the camera embeds Nokia OZO no less than 8 synchronized video sensors and 8 built-in microphones. The purpose of this device designed for professionals is simple: shoot movies at 360 degrees to virtual reality, including helmets.

Nokia has not revealed many details of its technical device that seems not yet finalized, so this is just embedded software allows to see live and in 3D video being created via headphones. OZO promises to zap the long panoramic pre-assembly step of the image imposed by the competition.

Presented for the first time in Los Angeles by the Finnish firm, the camera will be finalized OZO and marketed as the end of 2015 to a still unknown price. Its main target being professional, there likely that it will be salty. The President of Nokia Technology says: “OZO aims to advance the next wave of innovation in VR by putting powerful tools into the hands of professionals who will create amazing experiences for people around the world.
