Nokia has expressed its support for Apple’s lawsuit against Samsung. The Finnish manufacturer is just like the iPhone maker that the requirements for a marketing too high.

This is evident from a letter that Nokia has filed. The letter itself is sealed and the contents thus unknown, but in a separate motion ( pdf) that is submitted is something clear about the position of Nokia.

Thus, the company that a ruling by Judge Lucy Koh in the U.S. case between Apple and Samsung goes too far. “The ruling raises the bar for obtaining a marketing so high that it is difficult and perhaps never be achieved,” said Nokia.

In December, judge Koh ruled out that Samsung did not infringe Apple patents willfully. According to the court, Apple has not conclusively proven that consumers buy the products because the parts that infringe patents.

Apple takes this requirement is too high and will now support from Nokia. The Finnish manufacturer states that the need for a ‘causal link’ to show ‘serious damage’ may cause to the U.S. patent protection.
