Over 61% of Apple devices already switched to iOS 6

According to a new report, the majority of users of mobile devices from Apple already upgraded to the latest, the sixth version of the mobile operating system iOS, which was released just a month ago.

Chitika Insights investigated iOS operating system  and came up with some interesting results. A month after the iOS 6 release, nearly 61% of Apple devices switched to the new operating system in the U.S. and Canada are based on iOS 6, released in mid-September. This number was obtained from the analysis of “hundreds of millions of mobile display advertising ‘ad network Chitika last month.

As analysts, users are actively moving to iOS 6, despite complaints about unfinished mapping application in the operating system and a number of other shortcomings.

Overall, the iOS version 6 includes “over 200 new features compared to iOS 5.” Among them is a new mapping application from Apple, as well as improved voice assistant Siri, and increased integration with social networking site Facebook.

However, in the new version were also removed some of the features that was surprising number of users. Thus, of the six disappeared iOS built-in application of video service YouTube, as well as a number of other very popular services.
