Following the presentation of the new Apple TV 4, there are many hopes placed on developers, which are put to work to bring all applications with multimedia capabilities and entertainment to get the most out of this little Apple set-top device.
One of the applications that people are more curious is Plex App, the streaming client. And there seems to be good news towards the development of a future application for the new Apple TV that allows us to enjoy all the multimedia content you want through streaming.
The guys ITWorld have contacted the development team Plex on the possibilities to publish an application for the Apple TV TVOS and this was the response:
We are very excited to have a crack at bringing our users Apple TV. It’s been a long requested platform and we’re excited to work on it. We want it, our users want it…and we’re anxiously awaiting the tvOS developer beta info, so we can finally dig in.
Of course we have started digging in and looking at it, but we have some bigger questions to answer before we can set any expectations.
As you know, the current Apple TV is not compatible with Plex without Jailbreak involved. Although Plex has issued these hopeful words have been wary of providing specific dates, know they will have to wait for the different API and especially see how TVOS works. We will remain very aware of the work of the development team as Plex greatly increase the chances of Apple TV, even with this new operating system that promises much and that will certainly be the epicenter of entertainment in many homes, from just $149 for the 32GB model offers unrivaled features.(source: ITworld)
