iMore reported an interesting rumor about Apple to relesease a 7-inch iPad for $200 in October along with the new iPhone to cost less than $250, according to their anonymous source, who in the past was correct. The price is really low, specially for an Apple product.
One reason that a smaller Apple iPad for such a cheap price can offer to others to compete with the cheaper tablets. One of the competitors who are very good in the United States is the Amazon Kindle Fire.
“We haven’t gotten a firm read on the exact dimensions, so we’re using 7-inches generically here. Our source has indicated, however, that the 7-inch iPad will be identical in every way to our current 9.7-inch iPad, just scaled down. That seems to include a 2048×1536 resolution display, just like the new iPad. If accurate, that would put the pixel density at around 326 ppi, identical to the iPhone 4S (and higher than the 264 ppi new iPad) Retina display.”
Apple would have the 7 "inch iPad offer but in a variant with only 8 GB of storage. iMore has just as you could read in the past shown as a reasonably reliable website. For example, predicted the arrival of the new website the iPad and iPhone 4S.
"Apple will be going forward with the 7-inch iPad, currently targeting an October 2012 release along side the new iPhone, and – here's the killer – at a $ 200 to $ 250 pricepoint. Accor Thing to our source, All which has proven Reliable in the past, the reason for Such aggressive pricing has to do to the tablet market what Apple did to the MP3 market in 2004 with the expansion of the iPod product line – leave absolutely no space for Competitors ."
