Apple is planning to release more affordable products. Later this year we should expect a cheaper HomePod and a MacBook Air. The rumors come from  Economic Daily (via Macotakara), which predicts that Apple will release a number of important products in a cheaper version. It would be a strategy that Apple has been following for a year since the cheaper 9.7-inch iPad appeared. The new MacBook Air would cost between $800 and $900, which could increase sales by some 10 to 15 percent. This is based on calculations by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Apple wwill also release a cheaper HomePod, because the current model is criticized for its high price compared to competitors. Economic Daily now claims that a cheaper version of the HomePod is coming, which should be available in the “second half of the market”. This probably means the second half of the year. DeAziaten note that Apple with a cheaper iPad last year was able to stay in a shrinking market. They would also want to do that now with other products. It would work well with computer-related products such as the iPad, notes Economic Daily. Furthermore, they expect a cheaper iPhone SE of around $350 and a cheaper 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD screen, which would also fit well in this trend.

there are aso rumors about the iPad Pro. This new version with Face ID should come on the market in June, at the same time as WWDC 2018. Apple has planned two new iPads but it is probably new variants of the 9.7-inch iPad.
