Almost a year after its release in the United States and some European countries, the iPhone 4 finally landing in India this Friday. Agreement between Apple and the operators were signed in April for marketing that was announced in the following months. This will be May 27, first with Aircell, but Apple has also signed with Bharti Airtel.
It's a big market that opens for iPhone 4, even though most operators in the country are not affected. Airtel is the first Indian operator, Aircel and the fifth are the two Indian operators to operate on the GSM network. The others are on a CDMA network, but they can not benefit from the iPhone, Verizon currently distributed due to hardware incompatibilitie
