Dev Group has not too long ago launched the PwnageTool 5.0.1  to allow the iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak and preserve the baseband , among others. Indeed, it is possible to keep the baseband of the iPhone while updating. This practice allows those using ultrasn0w on Cydia – unlocked device – to have the latest version of IOS to date while maintaining their unofficial unlocked. But for the beginner, PwnageTool is perhaps a bit more complex to use (although there is an automatic mode, redsn0w for example. We offer below a tutorial to guide you if you do not dare take the step alone.
