The wait is finally over. Evad3rs Dev Team released the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 .0, iOS 6.0.1, iOS 6.0.2 and iOS 6.1 released. The new jailbreak tool called Evasi0n and supports the following iOS devices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 , iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 5G and Apple TV 2G .
Now you’ll want to know how you can perform a jailbreak. iPod touch 4G and iPod touch 5G users can follow the instructions below for the untethered jailbreak to perform.

To avoid problems during the jailbreak process to prevent you first have to restore your iPod touch to a clean version of iOS 6.1. ATTENTION: You have to use your computer in iTunes! So NOT via the software update feature of your iPod touch. First, make a backup of your iPod touch before you restore the backup you after the jailbreak process back in place.
Step 1: Download iOS 6.1 via our Download iOS Firmware page, and restore your iPod touch 4G or iPod touch using iTunes.
Step 2: Download Evasi0n via our Download Jailbreak Tools page.
Step 3: If you have a lock on your iPod touch, first make sure it is off. Settings> General> Passcode Lock> Turn off.
Step 4: Connect your iPod touch 4G or iPod touch 5G to your computer.
Step 5: Start now Evasi0n on.
Step 6: Now click on Jailbreak for the jailbreak process to start.
Step 7: Various automatic steps will now be executed. This may take several minutes, so please be patient.
Step 8: Once step 7 is ready Evasi0n you will be prompted for your iPod touch to unlock. Now Unlock your iPod touch, you’ll now notice a new folder called “Jailbreak” on your home screen has come. Now press the Jailbreak app icon.
Step 9: You will now see messages that the jailbreak is injected on your iPod touch.
Step 10: Once the process is complete you will be notified. Your iPod touch will now reboot several times. Be patient, this step will be a little long one.
Step 11: You will now see the following messages will be displayed:
- Setting up fstab and AFC2
- Setting up Cydia
- Setting up cydia packages
- Clearing Springboard Cache
Following these reports, your iPod touch for the last restart. This time you will get the following messages:
- Initializing offsets
- Finding offsets
- Patching kernel
- Cleaning up!
- Done! Continuing boat
