iH8sn0w has released a video in which we see the Untethered Jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 running correctly. At the moment this works only on devices with the old 30pin connector and not on those that use the connector Lightning. The video does not mean that there will come a new tool to brief only that the work can begin and it will take time before you get to eventually get the better of Apple.
The hacker in question is Canadian-born and is the author of the popular tool Sn0wbreeze. Did you use a specific exploit: attacks the 30-pin connector (dock) of past Apple, has used an iPad 2. To help him a new character in the world of hacking, such as XanderKitteh
Currently works with 30-pin devices, which means that only goes in the iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPhone 4s that come with the 30 pin connector. Recall that Apple replaced this connector in 2012 with the launch of iPhone 5. With tat said, the jailbreak will not work on iOS devices that are affecting this change, the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 4, iPad Mini, Mini iPad 2, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and iPod Touch 5g.
The creator of the video itself leaves us the following information about jailbreak iOS 8.1.1:
This uses some new research. . . (not bootrom related[aw ik], but not HFS either). Still only limited to working with 30pin devices due to no serial over lightning.
This does not mean a public release of something jailbreaking-related is coming from me anytime soon. So don’t update.
The bad news is that this jailbreak might not fiunzionare on new devices, that is, those with Lightning connector (not included on the 4S), so may not be available in the near future..iH8sn0w has also not ruled out this possibility, perhaps in the future will come after the release of iOS 8.2.
No doubt this is good news for the jailbreak community because the news that iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak closed doors to fell like a bucket of cold water, causing many users to update to iOS 8.1 fast in case in the future wanted to jailbreak, we will look at emerging developments regarding the jailbreak iOS 8.1.1.
