ZAGG buys Mophie battery case maker for $100 million

Apple devices ZAGG accessories manufacturer just announced the purchase of Mophie, battery case maker also known for its covers with built-in battery that allow to increase the battery life of the iPhone without having to go through an outlet. The acquisition was closed for an amount close to $100 million.

ZAGG, is known in the world of Apple, for its screen protectors for iPhone, iPad keyboards for the range in addition to covers some with built-in speaker. But also gives us recharge our batteries for devices on the go along with speakers and headphones.

ZAGG has bought the company Mophie fenced amounting to $100 million in an agreement both companies allocate their assets to offer their products in other major markets as is currently the Chinese. But ZAGG might have to shell out more money if the benefits of ZAGG exceed $100 million during the first year of the agreement, from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.

Last year alone, the two companies got together 470 million in net sales, there would have to deduct the costs and others to get the net profit figure, but it appears that ZAGG will have to checkout and disburse more Mophie money to the company within a year.

The main reason for this acquisition is due to problems finding ZAGG is the time to expand its global distribution network and want quick access to resources in China Mophie. Another of the reasons that ZAGG has decided to buy Mophie is the case with integrated battery manufacturer, unique product related to smartphones that currently offered for sale.(Source: Zagg)
