9.7-inch iPad Pro to start at $599, same 32/128GB as iPad Pro

For users who expect the launch of the next iPad to have a new design, it will not happened: according to Mark Gurman, who has a high success rate with leaks, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be the first to see an increase in its price. According Gurman, the tablet will replace the iPad Air 2 with $100 higher, which would be $599.

As for the storage, the entry model and will double its capacity from 16GB to 32GB. We might think that this is good news, but the iPad Air 2 which costs $599 now for the 64GB, so paying the same storage would obtain half. Gurman also states that there will be LTE models and 128GB, but it is unclear whether there will be 64GB model. Chances are that models and prices remain as follows.

With some luck, 64GB model is not launched, so we could buy one of 128GB for a lower price, which, knowing Apple, it seems impossible.

The 9.7-inch  iPad Pro 9.7 will be even better than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, including a “brighter” screen (some rumors say it will be 4K, which Gurman did not mentioned today) and camera flash 12MP with possibility 4K recording. He will share with his older brother A9X processor, co-processor M9, four speakers, 4GB of RAM, Smart Connector and compatibility with the Apple Pencil.

Gurman also gives us more bad news regarding the iPad Air 2: the new model will not replace the current Air, so its price will not change next Monday and the 16GB model will remain at $499. Original iPad Air is would discontinue and current Pro and Mini 4 models will remain the same, something that should not be surprised to have been presented last September. If Gurman hits as usual, will you buy the 9.7-inch iPad Pro? If yes, what model?
