Adobe Photoshop for iPad is available on the App Store

The most popular photo editing and graphic design is now available for the iPad.

Adobe points out that this first version of Photoshop for iPad focuses on the basic composition and retouching tools, designed to work perfectly on iPad with Apple Pencil. In future versions, Adobe plans to improve the tools used for brushes, masks, trim edges and smart subject selection.

You can use the Quick Select tool, the classic Lasso tool and all the advanced options like the gradient. Brushes can be used to create and manage masks and create sophisticated compositions. Of course, you can also edit and enhance images and remove unwanted elements with features like spot correction and clone stamp.

Furthermore, the user interface recognizes the context and shows only the tools and boxes that can be used at a given time.

Adobe Photoshop requires iPadOS 13.1 or later. Supported models are as follows:

  • iPad Pro
  • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
  • 10.5-inch iPad Pro
  •  9.7-inch iPad Pro
  •  iPad 5th Generation
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Air 2
  • Apple Pencil (2nd generation)
  • Apple Pencil (1st generation)

To use the app, you will need a monthly subscription with Adobe Photoshop set to $9.99 a month. Adobe offers a free 30-day trial to test the service.
