A number of hours in the past, ReadWriteWeb has published some statistics showing that nearly 90% of users of iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad iOS are under 4.0 and higher.
To be more precise, it is actually 89.73% which are 4.X, 3.X and 10.25% in only 0.02% is still running under the iOS 2.X. It's still interesting to know that there remains only about 10% who always use the version 3.X, especially since the older generations are locked in 3.1.3.
Here are the complete statistics for those who like precision and statistics:
- 4.2.1 – 52.89%
- 4.1 – 27.50%
- 3.1.3 – 6.43%
- 4.0.2 – 3.36%
- 4.0.1 – 2.95%
- 4.0 – 2.94%
- 3.1.2 – 2.52%
- 3.2.2 – 0.49%
- 3.0 – 0.22%
- 3.1 – 0.21%
- 3.0.1 – 0.10%
- 3.2 – 0.10%
- 3.1.1 – 0.10%
- 4.2 – 0.09%
- 3.2.1 – 0.07%
- 2.2.1 – 0.02%
- 2.2 – 0.0%
So much for these few statistics, I would like also there is a poll or statistics on the percentage of people who are jailbroken. I wonder what percentage of the jailbreak community is such.
What do you think of these numbers? Are you part of the vast majority 4.X or more?[via 9to5Mac]
