Kantar Worldpanel released its new report on mobile operating market share data systems for the first quarter of 2015. The company accounted Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and others. Each system is represented by a percentage based countries such as the US, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Japan, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico in the period of the first quarter ended in March.
Android remains the top step with a significant market share compared to its competitors. The iOS nevertheless continues its path to success with the release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Kantar says that there are 32.4% of new Apple customers in the five major European countries during the first three months of the year. In contrast to others, the road to success is still very long as shown in the image above.
Therefore, what we can draw from the latest results of Kantar? Because apart from the fruit harvested by Apple after betting heavily on China, the fact is that there are not many changes in the overall picture, and though this may seem boring, it is not. While Android and Apple are divided respectively leading market share and profits respectively, Windows Phone still relegated to the background, a situation that each passing month will be more difficult to reverse. Also interesting is the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus effect, causing 32.4% of new Apple customers come from Android.
