MotoMan edition demonstrated Apple interface CarPlay features , providing the link between iPhone and cars. Previously, we could see the CarPlay integration with the Ferrari FF, and now CarPlay is demonstrated with Hyundai Sonata 2015.

CarPlay features allows to connect an iPhone to the car’s system, and use its touch screen, steering wheel controls or voice commands to control it via the smartphone to make phone calls, use GPS navigation system, play music and send / receive messages. Service is designed to meet the minimum driver distraction from the road.


MotoMan showed Hyundai Sonata onboard vehicle system with a touchscreen interface that looks like iOS with several icons including the Phone, Music, Messages, Now Playing, maps and Command, etc…

“CarPlay allows you to fully integrate the iPhone with car multimedia systems Hyundai. With its help, the driver can make voice calls and listen to messages without being distracted from the road. It is possible to create routes using mapping application Apple, view and edit contacts, open multiple applications, listen to music and check your mail “- said MotoMan.


The first cars to be integrated with CarPlay technology were Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo supporting which were presented in the Geneva Motor Show. Many auto mjor plaayers are interested in it. Among them – BMW, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Kia Motors, Mitsubishi, Nissan, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota and others. In May, Pioneer and Alpine Electronics announced the development of branded Unit to support CarPlay, which can be installed in any vehicle.

ABI Research Experts say that by 2019 the number of vehicles that support CarPlay interface will reach up to reach 24 million.
