Apple debuts with the iPhone SE 3

Apple unveiled the iPhone SE 2022, a new entry-level model. Previously, the first iPhone SE made its first appearance in 2016 and then the iPhone SE 2020. Now it’s time for the third generation, with the same design as its predecessors but with internal improvements.

Apple again chooses the name iPhone SE, to indicate that this model also fits into the existing product line used with the first iPhone SE. These devices are for people looking for an iPhone at a reasonable price. It doesn’t contain the latest technology, but you can count on Apple to continue to support these models with software updates as long as it is supported.

As far as the design of the iPhone SE 3 is concerned, it is simple: it looks exactly like its predecessor. JuApple again opts for a housing with a home button, which harks back to the iPhone 8. People who can’t say goodbye to Touch ID will be delighted with this. There is still a large group of users who appreciate a traditional home button with Touch ID. With this new iPhone SE, Apple ensures that it can also continue to use an up-to-date model in the coming years. The device has a shiny glass back with rounded aluminum sides and a Lightning connection at the bottom. Wireless charging is possible, but MagSafe is not included. Just like the design, the screen also remains unchanged. Apple opts for a 4.7-inch LCD, the same screen as in the iPhone SE 2020, including True Tone, and for the first time also Ceramic Shield for better resistance to scratches and bumps.

The new iPhone SE 2022 on the inside has a faster chip and support for 5G. With this, Apple succeeds in bringing one of the most affordable smartphones with 5G on the market. Whether you need it now or not, the speed gains in terms of data cannot yet be achieved, since the fast frequencies are not yet available.
The iPhone SE 2022 also benefits from a faster chip: it gets an A13 Bionic to the A15 Bionic upgrade.

The iPhone SE 2020 was the only model in Apple’s lineup with a single rear camera. That will remain the case with the iPhone SE 2022. There will be no dual camera, but the A15 Bionic does make a new camera experience possible.

The 12-megapixel camera has a ƒ/1.8 aperture wide camera, taking full advantage of computational photography. There is support for Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Deep Fusion, and Portrait mode.
HDR 4 was introduced in the iPhone 13 series and uses intelligent color, contrast, and noise reduction techniques. Even in difficult lighting conditions, it is still possible to take beautiful images, with natural skin tones. Deep Fusion ensures that every pixel comes out well. And the image signal processor in the A15 Bionic delivers better videos with less noise.
