In the new beta version of iOS 12.2, Apple has introduced new Giraffe, Shark, Boar and Owl Animoji that can be used in the Messages and FaceTime apps.
Animojis are 3D emoji characters that you can control with your face and are designed to work on devices equipped with a TrueDepth camera system, present on the latest iPhone models (X, XS, XS Max, and XR) and iPad Pro.
When using an Animoji the TrueDepth camera analyzes more than 50 muscle movements in different areas of the face, detecting the movement of the eyebrows, cheeks, chin, eyes, jaw, lips, eyes, tongue and mouth. All facial movements are replicated by animated characters that reflect our expressions and emotions and can be shared with friends in the Messages app as stickers and video and can be used in place of the face when using FaceTime.
With these new additions we now have a total of 24 Animoji: monkey, robot, cat, dog, alien, fox, poop, pig, panda, rabbit, rooster, unicorn, lion, dragon, skull, bear, tiger, koala, t-rex, ghost, in addition to the new four additions today.
