Apple just unveiled its new Apple Watch Series 8 to the world during the September 2022 event, alongside the new Apple Watch SE 2.
The new features in the Apple Watch Series 8 start with a new temperature sensor that will allow users to have much more data available to monitor their health, especially at night.
In fact, the smartwatch is able to constantly monitor the temperature on the wrist every 5 seconds while recording every slightest variation. Thanks to this new sensor for monitoring the basal temperature, a new set of useful tools opens up to help female to monitor their menstrual cycle and predicts ovulation and any delays. Thanks to this information, encrypted end-to-end on iCloud, it is easier to identify any problems affecting the female reproductive system and contact the referring doctor.
Another feature of the Apple Watch Series 8 is related to the gyroscope, which is combined with the new accelerometer to monitor the most massive impacts by offering the user an emergency call system for road accidents.
All these data, together with those perceived by the microphone and other sensors, are processed through machine learning to provide accurate and reliable results and avoid evaluation errors.
The Apple Watch Series 8 battery life is up to 18 hours, perfect for most uses. The new Low Power Mode helps the smartwatch give up to 36 hours of battery life, reducing non-essential activities. This mode will also arrive for Apple Watch Series 4 and later with WatchOS 9.
The new Apple Watch Series 8 arrive on September 16, with pre-orders open starting today. Apple Watch prices start at $399 for the GPS version and $499 for the cellular version with three months free of Apple Fitness+.
