Apple launched a trade-in program for the iPad



Apple has launched an exchange program for old iPad to the latest model line tablets and smartphones with a surcharge . As reported on 9to5Mac. Prior to this program Reuse & Recycling acted only for smartphones iPhone.

9to5Mac notes that Apple is trying to increase sales iPad, because now the owners of older models will only have to pay the difference in cost of the two tablets. Experts believe the idea attractive to consumers : more new devices with the cheapest complete set will be very accessible , if getting them to replace the old tablets with expensive bundle.

What is interesting for a surrender iPad is slightly higher than iPhone. Thus, Apple takes smartphones even with a broken screen , but the plates with the same injuries are not subject to exchange . Apple just listed 22 criteria that must be met received gadget. The program Reuse & Recycling will not participate devices with jailbreak and tablets , which can not be disabled on Find My iPhone.

Apple does not accept to exchange the following models : iPad Air, iPad mini display Retina, as well as the first generation iPad . Moreover, the tablet can be handed over to exchange and pay the difference to Apple smartphone and vice versa.

According to analysts, for the last quarter Apple sold 15 to 22 million tablets iPad. Average – 19.3 million , which is slightly less than a year ago . For comparison, during the second quarter of 2013 Apple, according to official figures , 19.5 million iPad sold versus 11.8 million for the same period in 2012 .
