Apple sends out media invitations for the WWDC 18 keynote to be held from June 4 to Through June 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The presentation will happen at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.
It is certain that Apple will present iOS 12, watchOS 5, tvOS 12 and macOS 10.14 and so far it is unsure what news features will be included in these major update, even if Craig Federighi has left some clues, at least for iOS 12.
iOS 12 should indeed focus mainly on improving performance and bug fixes, but will not miss some interesting news. Apple could update the Home screen, make changes to CarPlay and improve Siri. iOS 12 should then focus on the interface, starting from the inconsistent menu bar, since it shows different information based on the location between the unlock screen, home screen or Control Center. Siri should be improved especially as regards the precise recognition of voice commands.
iOS 12 will include new parental control features, but at the moment we have no other details about it. Then a new iBooks app should be delivered, totally renewed both graphically and functionally, and iOS 12 is likely to include new health features.
On the hardware side, the arrival of a second-generation iPhone SE with improved hardware and design more similar to the latest Apple smartphones seems to have been excluded.
The arrival of new iPad Pro is much more likely. In detail, it speaks of an 11-inch iPad Pro that should have thinner frames, no Home key and a design similar to that of the iPhone X. Also the integration of the Face ID for facial recognition. Along with this new model, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with similar design and Face ID should also be released. Both models should integrate the Octa-core Apple A11X processor.
On the Mac side, the only novelty could be the entry-level 13-inch MacBook. This model could integrate a 2560 x 1600 pixel panel, with a density of 226 ppi. The price should be around $999.
Obviously, iHelplounge will provide coverage about the new software for the entire time on June 4th. Be sure to follow us on twitter for more
