As scheduled, Apple has officially announced the results for Q3 2021, recording a record turnover of $81.4 billion.
Apple continues its unstoppable march, breaking record after record with steady year-over-year growth. Compared to $59.7 billion in the same quarter of 2020, revenue is up 36% with quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.30.
For some time, the Cupertino company has no longer communicated the number of units sold per single category but a single aggregate data relating to revenue for each category:
- iPhone: 39.57 billion
- Services: 17.49 billion
- Mac: 8.24 billion
- iPad: 7.37 billion
- Wearables, home, and accessories: 8.78 billion
It is decidedly important to note the growth by a single segment. Compared to last year, the iPhone segment grew by 49.7% followed by 36.12% in the wearable segment and 32.90% in the services segment. Also, it is worth noting the constant growth of the Mac and iPad segments.
