Another day of beta at Apple, with the release of the fourth beta of the various iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4 and watchOS 4.3.1.
Recall that in order to download and install the developer beta version you must be registered with the Apple Developer program with a paid subscription and then proceed to incremental download or manual installation by downloading the update through Apple’s developer center. Public beta 4 will also be released within a couple of days.
As for the beta 4 of iOS 11.4, compared to the previous releases, the changelog published by Apple does not currently feature in terms of functionality but only the introduction of some bugfixes and improvements to system performance. As always, we will proceed as soon as possible to download the new update to carry out all the appropriate tests and inform you if new functionalities emerge.
In addition to these developments of iOS 11.4, Apple also releases betas of other devices with interesting changes. In tvOS 11.4, the Apple TV again appears in the Home application where you even allocate a room. With AirPlay 2 we can use the Apple TV as a Multiroom device to play music as if it were a loudspeaker (through the TV speaker). Who knows if through Siri we can also control it with this new function.
watchOS 4.3.1 Beta does not include major improvements compared to the latest public version, watchOS 4.3, although we can see a message that signals the near end of non-native applications in the Apple Watch, by indicating that if the application we use does not is optimized we will not be able to continue using it shortly. macOS 11.13.5 for its part introduces the classic performance improvements and Messages in iCloud, without other new features.
