On Wednesday, Apple released iOS 12.1.1 to the public. This iOS 12.1.1 is a minor update that adds support for eSIM for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Also, now you can take a Live Photo during FaceTime video calls, so you can capture special moments and save them on your device. To be able to take the picture, the other person must have activated the “FaceTime Live Photo” feature from Settings> FaceTime> FaceTime Live Photo. If this function is disabled, you will not be able to perform Live Photo.

FaceTime offers a new bottom bar that integrates quick access keys to silence a call or change camera settings. Scrolling on the bar at the bottom opens the additional options.

On iPhone XR, iOS 12.1.1 introduces Haptic Touch support to notifications. Now you can use Haptic Touch to expand rich notifications on the lock screen with a long press so you can view additional content. Also introduced the RTT (Real-time text) function during Wi-Fi calls on the iPad and iPod touch.
