Apple has just started the release of the first beta of macOS Catalina 10.15.2 for developers.

This macOS version 10.15.2 makes changes to the way HTTP Strict protections are managed, including the inclusion of some top-level domains like .dev and .app in the URLSession Foundation list and NSURLConnection HTTP Strict Transport Security. Apple that uses URLSession to visit a corresponding URL will always do so as https://, rather than the old and insecure http:/ and never as clear text.

The new build can be downloaded via the Apple Developer Center from all test program subscribers or via an OTA update on devices that are already running the beta software.

The move to macOS 10.15.2 comes shortly after the release of macOS Catalina 10.15.1 which took place last October 29th. As always we remove the risk of installing beta software on primary devices, due to the experimental nature of the software.
