Apple to release the iPad 5 and Retina iPad mini featuring A7X chip in Q4 2013

The fact that Apple introduced the iPad 4 in October last year , was a surprise to many , but some foreign analysts then confidently stated that the company will release a new , thinner, lighter iPad 5 in early 2013. It was alleged that the fourth generation of a large iPad and iPad mini will not be enough for Apple  to get the tablet markets among others.

KGI Securities analyst Ming- Chi Kuo , in a note to investors, Apple’s plans were originally present new iPad this Fall. According to the expert , in the fourth quarter will be released iPad 5 and iPad mini second generation , both models will run on the new processor A7X.

In January 2013, passed the information that the iPad 5 will be used updated model A6X. However, according to Kuo, the processor is expected to A7X, as Apple has maintained a relationship with Samsung. The gap between the two companies did not happen , so the American corporation has the ability to use the new chip generation in two of their devices – in a compact and full-sized iPad. And, for the current iPad mini, equipped with a processor A5, it will mean a big performance boost.

Ming- Chi Kuo believes that the new ” Minikit ” will be released with a display Retina. Initially, the Cupertino-based company wanted to introduce a model with a super fine screen in 2014, but under pressure from competitors forced to release a Retina iPad mini at the end of 2013 , he says.

The note says that the iPad 5 will be only one unit instead of two LEDs in existing versions , which will reduce the weight of the gadget, but at the same time the amount of energy consumed (and therefore the battery will be less). It may also reduce the size of the unit LED lighting due to more efficient light-emitting diodes , or by modifying the display.

iPad 5 must be about 15 % thinner and 25% lighter than its predecessor, and this can be achieved mainly by the battery , which will be less than 20-30% and 15-20 % thinner. The novelty in vertical mode, the right and left of the screen provides virtually “useless ” framework , and the top and bottom will be a place only for the Home button , sensors and front camera . Judging from the latest leaks on the web, it is very likely.

Finally , as predicted by Ming- Chi Kuo, in 2014 Apple will release a cost-reduced version of the iPad mini 2, which will run on a processor A6X. It will complement the top-end modification of the mini- tablet , which will debut this Fall. Release 5 and iPad 2 iPad mini will take place in October or early November. [Via MacRumors]
