A couple of days, Apple announced the new AirPods 3 featuring support for spatial audio and MagSafe charging. The design remains the same but still offers the same ergonomic and comfortable shape. However the from a technical specs point of view, the AirPods offers a very low distortion with clean and crystal clear frequencies.
Thanks to the power of the H1 chip combined with an Apple-designed sound system, the new AirPods use computational audio to deliver incredible sound with adaptive equalization. Each user can enjoy spatial audio with Dolby Atmos on Apple Music, in movies and TV series, and benefit from dynamic head position detection, on all Apple devices.
In addition to full Spatial Audio support for music and entertainment, Apple’s new AirPods 3 offer the AdaptiveEQ system to deliver the best end-user experience. Basically, the headphones adapt in real-time to allow the user to better listen to the content, based on the hearing abilities of the same.
Finally, several improvements are made to the battery with a duration of about 6 hours and support for fast charging that offers an hour of autonomy in just 5 minutes. In addition to classic wireless charging, Apple has also integrated Magsafe support. The AirPods also make use of AAC-ELD, a superior voice codec that delivers high-definition voice quality for clearer, more natural FaceTime calls.
The new AirPods 3 can be ordered starting today for $179 and will be available for purchase in stores starting Tuesday October 26. The second-generation AirPods also remain available in Apple’s lineup which also includes AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.
