Apple Watch Series 4 Officially Introduced

Apple Watch 4 Series

The next-gen Apple Watch successor to the 3 has been announced. What do we all know about this latest model, the Apple Watch Series 4? Keep on reading below to find out.

The design of the Apple Watch Series 4 has changed for the first time but retained the same design. Apple releases two models: a 40mm and a 44mm. That means the Apple Watch is slightly taller than before, not wider but larger display, new UI with 18-hour battery life.

The screen of the Apple Watch is a bit bigger than before. Apple has made the screen edges smaller, so the screen is about 30% larger without making the cabinet itself much bigger. The Apple Watch is also slightly thinner than the previous models.

The Apple Watch Series 4 has a new S4 processor that is about twice as fast as the previous model. The accelerometer has also improved considerably, making measurements more accurate.

The main new feature of the Apple Watch Series 4 is the larger screen. The screen ensures that more information fits on the dial. With the new dial, you can show up to nine complications at once. You will see more information as soon as you turn your wrist.

Apple has redesigned the dials to make full use of the larger screen. The Breathing app is now also available as a dial, so you only have to look at the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 4 also receives new health functions

Apple Watch Series 4 can now detect a fall, and after it’s been detected, you can whether choose to initiate an emergency call or not.

Imagine standing on a staircase and falling away from it, the Apple Watch Series 4 knows that. After a recognized fall, you can call 112 quickly thanks to the SOS emergency notification function. If you fail to move after a fall, the watch automatically calls the emergency services. This will especially help the elderly who are more susceptible to falling.

The new heart rate sensor on the back ensures better heart rate measurements. The Series 4 has three new heart functions. You will receive a notification if your heart rate is too low. The Series 4 can also monitor your heart rhythm in the background.

Even if this is not true, the Apple Watch sends a notification to warn you. The third function is made possible by an entirely new function: the electrocardiogram. This is also called the ECG. This makes it the first ECG product that is directly available to consumers. You can make an ECG via the app and by placing your finger on the Digital Crown, the measurements are carried out.

The data is stored in the Health app. The data can be shared via a PDF, which shows exactly the measurements of your heartbeats in a graph. You can show this to your doctor or doctor, for example. Apple has received approval for the ECG function from the FDA, an American organization that approves health products. That means that you can only use the feature in the U.S.
