Australian startup HealthKit accused Apple of illegally using its brand name



Australian startup HealthKit, develops communication service for physicians and patients around the world,  accused Apple of illegally using its brand. HealthKit creators believe that the appearance of the software tool from the Californian giant is serious blow to their business.

Health and  Healthkit application platform are an important part of iOS 8. New Health program with the permission of the user to collect information from different applications, as well as fitness equipment , providing complete and up- person review of all indicators. From Healthkit developers , you can organize transparent sharing of data between applications and gadgets for health and fitness.

Immediately after the presentation of WWDC 2014. The Australian company tweeted that Apple illegally used its brand.

“We are annoyed by the fact that Apple has borrowed our name for their new medical product. Tim Cook , you know about it ? “- Complained to the developers .

Prior WWDC 2014, it was known that Apple was preparing its own medical application called Healthbook. But in the end service was called Healthkit. Rumored  has it the Cupertino company decided to change the name because of the large amount of leakage.

HealthKit company based in Australia , but their service uses a large number of customers in the U.S. , Canada and UK . The company helps patients find health care providers , and compare them to communicate among themselves .

Australians were told that after the WWDC number of visitors to the site has grown considerably at . However, creators of the service are worried that they may face difficulties in the future because of the same name. So, until Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in the SERP on request “Healthkit” Australian resource was on the first line , it is now difficult to find in the first pages .
